As a business we believe in giving back and contributing to our society. One way that we do this is through the UNIQ Charitable Foundation, a vehicle we have created to personally support worthy causes. The three charities nominated in our Foundation include:
› Breast Cancer Care
Breast Cancer Care is a charity founded by Betty Westgate on Christmas Eve, 1973, five years after her own diagnosis of breast cancer in 1968. It is there for anyone affected by breast cancer; bringing people together, providing information and support, and campaigning for improved standards of care.
› NSPCC
The NSPCC was founded in 1884, with the vision of ending cruelty to children in the UK. When the NSPCC have an idea that they think will reduce harm to children, they test it and then measure it carefully to ensure that it works. If it does, they tell others in order to make sure that these new ideas and services are taken up by them to help other children.
› Stroke Association, Wales
The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK changing the world for people affected by stroke. Their focus is on changing the lives of people affected by stroke and they aim to reduce the number of people who are struck down by this devastating disease.
