Marlene Outrim
Founder & Managing Director
Qualifications: MSc(Econ) Certified Financial Planner, Chartered FCSI, Qualified Pension Specialist, Chartered Wealth Manager
I founded UNIQ Family Wealth, with a distinct family focus, drawing on my experience of owning a Financial Planning practice for 17 years. “It’s difficult to advise individuals in isolation; family issues, succession and cascading wealth often need to be addressed. It made sense to create a firm to provide such a service.”
In my spare time I enjoy being with my growing family, dance, music, skiing and entertaining.

Following ten years working in Income and Credit Control, joining UNIQ and the Financial Services industry is a new challenge for me. My role focuses on the number work, including reporting and commission reconciliation, which is where my strengths lie.

Paula Brant

I have worked in the Financial Services industry for the last 27 years, the last 15 as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor. As well as providing professional financial advice, customer service has always been of utmost importance in my role. The experience I have gained from the industry has given me a passion for providing customer excellence and I am proud to bring this quality to UNIQ.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, socialise with friends, attend musical and theatre events, and sing with my choir.

Kayleigh James
Professional Support
Qualifications: Working towards becoming a Level 4 Qualified Paraplanner
I joined the Financial Services Industry almost four years ago after leaving Hospitality work and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences so far. Whilst currently employed in an administrative role, I am working towards becoming a Level 4 Qualified Paraplanner and am undertaking some of the responsibilities of a trainee Paraplanner on a daily basis to gain more experience in the role. What I am enjoying most so far is ensuring that all clients’ investments transition as smoothly as possible during transfer, and liaising with both clients and providers during this time.
Outside of work I am active mum and I enjoy weekends with my daughter, as well as keeping physically fit by bouldering, hiking or getting to the gym.

Sandra McBride
Client Relationship Manager
Qualifications: Life
I joined UNIQ in September 2017 having worked in my last company for over 22 years as an Administrator then Personal Assistant for a large company.
The transition from working with customers to now working with clients has been something I have enjoyed the most. I work in the UNIQ Bristol Office making sure everything runs smoothly and I love meeting and greeting our clients and making sure the Planners have everything they need for their meetings.
One of my main duties is contacting the clients when their meetings are due and making sure their paperwork is returned in a timely manner so that I can then book them in for their annual meeting.
In my spare time: I love to keep myself busy. My deep passion is in re-cycling old furniture and materials and giving them a new life. History is another interest and I love to visit old cities as well as old English churches. This pastime helps to involve my love of walking. In addition, I am a keen cook and love entertaining with my family and friends.

Graham Cater-Pugh
Senior Paraplanner
Qualifications: Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Qualified Pension Specialist
I have worked in financial services for over 25 years in various roles including financial adviser, training and competence manager, life office consultant, sales manager and compliance officer. I have worked for large national advice firms as well small regional firms and UK life offices including Legal & General and Royal London, all of which have helped to build the knowledge and experience that now bring to UNIQ Family Wealth.
I settled on paraplanning as my preferred role in 2013 after returning from 3 years living in Germany working outside of financial services. I have an analytical mind and eye for detail that are key traits when undertaking research and writing reports.
In my spare time I am an Explorer Scout leader, which keeps me very busy running a program of activities to keep a group of 14 to 18 year olds engaged and teaching them skills for life. Scouting gets me outdoors a lot, but I also enjoy camping and bush craft together with my wife.
If you are a fan of the TV quiz show Pointless, I was on the pilot series and went on to win, so I am the proud owner of a Pointless trophy!
