You may know Katie as our Group Accounts Manager, but now is your opportunity to get to know her a little better.
1. What is your job title? How did that happen?
I’m Group Accounts Manager. Following 10 years working in Income and Credit Control, I wanted a change and started at UNIQ as Professional Support in May 2018. I enjoyed the figures and reporting side of the role and started studying my AAT, so it was a natural progression into this role.
2. What drew you to UNIQ Family Wealth?
From the start it was apparent they had thorough processes in place. From the interview process through to the client journey, I could see everything was mapped out clearly.
3. What keeps you smiling at work every day?
My colleagues. We work well as a team and communicate well to ensure the task in hand is completed efficiently. We also have lots of laughs as well!
4. What are you saving for?
I’ve always been a big saver, so I like to have a pot of ‘rainy day money’. Aside from that we’re looking to do some home improvements soon.
5. What keeps you busy when you’re not at UNIQ?
My husband and three-year-old. We’re always on days out or playing games. I also love food, whether cooking or eating it, going to see live music and having a catch up with the girls.
6. If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Start paying into a pension as soon as you can. I only started paying in to one following auto enrolment, so I’ve missed out on 10 years contributions. Working for UNIQ has definitely shown me the importance of planning for later life.
7. Finally, what goals are you working towards now?
I’ve got one exam left with my AAT Level 2.
